Description

The Sturgeon has been designed to assist with abdominal surgery by acting as a mechanical barrier to reduce the risk of needle perforation injury to the bowel and needlestick injury to the operating staff.
Manufactured using the finest surgical grade silicone, the Sturgeon is latex free. It has been impregnated with barium sulphate to render it radiopaque ensuring its safety as a surgical aid.
The Surgeons Sturgeon is reusable and will withstand repeated sterilization by autoclave.
The standard size Surgeons Sturgeon can be removed through a hole little more than one finger’s breadth in diameter, and the large sized Surgeons Sturgeon has been designed for use in long mid-line incisions.
